As from 6 April 2020, Consultants with a UK limited liability company, who are within IR35, will be required to have their tax and NI withheld from their invoices by The Geo People.

This change requires The Geo People to determine the Consultant's employment status before entering into any contract with the Consultant. This status will then be incorporated into our contract with both the Consultant and with the client.

You can easily check your own IR35 employment status for tax, by using HMRC's free tool, CEST (Check Employment Status for Tax), which can be found at:

The Geo People is following this guidance for existing contracts, where payment is due after 6 April 2020.
